Fashion to Feel Good About: Japan Relief Designer Tees

So one of my favorite online shops to buy haute couture is Yoox and I received an email from them this morning with a special Japan Relief Tee promotion supporting Red Cross efforts for tsunami relief which they have collaborated on with several designers like Yohji Yamamoto, Maison Martin Margiela (!!!), and Moschino. Nearly everything has sold out including the Kitsune tee which I wanted!!

Boo hoo but of course wonderful for this relief effort!

I’m sure anyone who is reading this has already made some kind of donation to Tsunami relief either through texting the Red Cross (the easiest way I think which is what I did) or some other effort.  But if you wanted some fashion to feel good about and also missed out on the Yoox sale there are several other places offering great designs.

I like these two in particular which are still in stock!! J.Crew is offering free shipping on their tee!!

Anna Sui

J.Crew – You can pre-order for shipment in late-May or it’s available in-stores June!

There are also quite a few other emerging designers which have designed Japan tees. So lots of options! Even on Etsy! This cute tote by NY-based Japanese designers Atsuyo et Akiko is also super cute.

Japan is a very beautiful country that has offered and continues to offer so much in fashion, culture, food, etc. And it has also persevered through so much great suffering but they still need our help! Personally, I am connected to Japan through very dear friends and family as my daughter’s father grew up there so I feel particularly drawn to this cause.
